Turmeric tea an orange-yellow tea that is slightly bitter with earthy notes. Turmeric is a flowering plant known as Curcuma longa, native to Southeastern Asia. And of the ginger family known as Zingiberaceae, the rhizomes of which are used for cooking. The rich yellow-orange color of turmeric is due to compounds called curcuminoids.
